What is the difference between 4-band and 5-band?

4-band has 2 significant digits (±5-10% tolerance), 5-band has 3 (±1-2%), allowing more precise resistance values.

It indicates how much the actual resistance can deviate from the stated value. Gold is ±5%, silver is ±10%.

Does it support SMD resistors?

Currently supports only color-coded (through-hole) resistors. SMD numeric codes will be supported in the future.
